Bug in Leopard, Snow Leopard, and possibly Lion

I'm a little frustrated with Apple right now. If you remember the slick transitions I was using in Conjure 3, you're probably wondering where they went. Well, it's a couple of obvious, nasty bugs in MacOS X that Apple never fixed. Normally I don't blame Apple for things I can fix myself, but in this case, the problem appears to be something I can't work around. From my fellow Mac programmer friends, got any suggestions?
