Castle Bravo was the code name given to the first U.S. test of a so-called dry fuel thermonuclear device, detonated on March 1, 1954 at Bikini Atoll, Marshall Islands, by the United States, as the first test of Operation Castle (a longer series of tests of various devices). Unexpected fallout from the detonation—intended to be a secret test—poisoned the crew of Daigo Fukuryū Maru ("Lucky Dragon No. 5"), a Japanese fishing boat, and created international concern about atmospheric thermonuclear testing.

The 20kt bomb dropped on Hiroshima makes the NK nukes look like firecrackers. This bomb is in the order of thousands of times more powerful than that. Also, our scientists weren't eating grass while developing nukes

It fascinates me how this massive nuclear bomb, is nearly 4x times SMALLER than Russia's biggest bomb, though, the Americans did a better job at recording it, partly because at least most of their cameras survived..

This is actually the most powerful nuclear weapon the United States ever detonated, at 15 megatons(15 million tons of TNT). The largest nuclear weapon ever detonated was the Tsar Bomba at 50 megatons (50 million tons of TNT) by the Soviet Union. The largest North Korean test was 2.35 Kilotons, or 2350 tons of TNT, which is quite a lot less than 15 million.

Nuclear weapons have not limits, humans can manufacture bombs of 5000 megatons or even more with which can dissapear a entire nation like Cuba or the middle of Japan or Florida.
