@insideoutbeegees Agreed, one of the best looking designs I've seen. Very clean looking. Excellent body panels. Washington state has a law against atv parts. I would upgrade the front suspension and at least the rear tire to a regular car tire would have a better contact patch and longer life. Awesome trike though! Dad must have an engineering background.

Awesome ride! Very cool!
It sounded like the starter stayed engaged the whole time it was running.

This thing looks more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Nice build! You should put up a site somewhere with the photos, or at least stick them on Photobucket or Flickr or something, so you can just link to them in the description.

what spindals did you use for this

Tell your dad, good job! I am also going to use ATV front suspension only mine is borrowed from a Polaris 400 4x4 (it has McPearson-type upper shock-strut with lower A-arm). I will be attempting FWD using this complete suspension and CV axles coupled to my modified chain-drive differential and MC engine. My question for you or your dad is: can you give me (or point me to) the specs for your front rim/tire combo? It's hard to find street tires for ATV rims. Stock, mine are 10x10

esta con todo hermano,,, felicidades
I love the looks of this trike .
I do have a question as to
the front tires though.
How many miles of wear can
you expect to get from them?

@LarryMReed These tires are designed for small cars, such as the original (1960s' BMC) minicooper. tThey have a 600lb load capacity. The cooper weighed 13 or 14oo lbs, with over 60% of that on the front. the trike weighs 540 with 50% on the front. They are very understressed. Even used hard they should be good for 60 or 70k .The rear one, however, will probably not last 5.

Awesome, what is the front end/steering/suspension components from?
kendogg83 1 year ago
@kendogg83 Most frontend partsare from a1989 Susuki 4-wheeler, with much attention paid to upgradding brakes with new braided hoses and a 3/4 in master cyclinder. Steering box is an Empi buggy unit. It sucks, too much slop, have plans to replace when a suitable unit is found. It should be cheap. light, fast ratio, zero play, center pinion and cheap. Any suggestions?

Great project! I was just wondering how you mounted the swingarm to the custom frame. Im working on my own right now and would like to know how to attach it?

It 's difficult to explain here, but I'm going to post some photos as its' reassembled. The hinge itself consists of tube within a tube separated by thick neopheme bushings. These I found in buggy parts catalogue for V.W. trailing arms. The inner tube is clamped to the frame with what amounts to large bolt running through it end to end. The outer tube is part of the swing arm. Its a giant version of of the inner pivots you would see on any front swing arm.
