Who is that monster saying excuse me is this the home of sesame street fever?

Bob (Bob McGrath) said in an interview that the target audience for Sesame Street was changed from ages 5-7 to a much younger group of 2-4. Which is probably why Elmo became so popular for younger children.
Being in my early 30s, I remember many great sketches, and songs that really are missed these days in SS. Like this one, I soooo remember dancing to the beats and laughing when the monster got smushed behind the "IN" door. Ahhh those were the days.

HOW CUTE!!!!
This brings a tear to my eye. Since I was born in 1975, I remember this song fondly, and boogieing in and out the door (and for more!). Sesame Street has changed so much since these days, and is now tailored to a much younger audience. The CTW really needs to get back to its roots. Maybe do what Boomerang did and create a "classic" SS schedule (from what I hear the classic DVDs of SS are missing many of the segments many of us remember). Just an idea.
