How many months or years we have to wear retainer? i wear it for years, i don't wanna use it again cos i don't feel comfort wearing it but scared if i don't wear it my teeth going back to before i wear brackets. so? should i continue wear or not? please answer cos i don't wanna wear retainer forever :(

@hwandrie Ideally, you should wear it forever. However, it is really up to you. You don't have to wear it every day for the rest of your life, or every week, or even every month. Just use it occasionally if you feel your teeth move around too much. I wear mine for about 10 minutes at a time when I can remember to (which isn't very often), and my teeth remain fairly straight. Some people need to wear it every day. It's really different for everyone.

@jasminehardy31 However long you feel you need to. Sometimes I just wear it for 15 minutes, other times I wear them for three hours, and most people wear them all day. Depends what your orthodontist tells you and how you feel about it.

@tlovesyou13 To talk normal without my braces, or with a retainer? Because without braces, it takes no time at all. And I still talk funny with a retainer haha.
