  • ln means natural log, not log

  • We so rarely use log base 10 that most math teachers have gotten into the habit of meaning ln when the say log. On the TI-89 calculator, which we use, there is not even a button for log.

  • Huh? I'm pretty sure the standard form of writing limits as lim(x->a)f(x)=L not lim(x->a)=L. In fact A "limit" does not equal anything.Limits are kind of like operations, like d/dx.

  • Yea, a couple of times I typed the '=' in the wrong place. Stupid!

  • the equal sign does not go after the limit. those are some serious points lost in calculus exams.

  • I beg to differ. In every text book I've ever seen the equal sign follows the limit. In elementary calculus the limit, if it exists, is equal to L, a real number. This is by definition.

  • incredibly helpful!

  • thank you

  • The example approaches 0 from the negative side.

If in doubt, I plot the function. I have never used L'Hospital's rule.

These are good tutorials and well explained.

  • thanks this was really helpful!

  • I wish I had classes with such a great teacher!

  • These videos are great!

    Thanks for posting!
