The force is strong in him it is!

@SENSEISHODANIROC I beg your pardon but I find it extremely hard to believe that this old man would be doing much damage in the streets today.
This with all due respect to the man. But nature can not be fooled or worked around. When you're old, you can teach, but not fight. Even if we would like it to be otherwise.
If we don't accept this, we start making claims that can not be fulfilled, and it's like fake currency - devalues the real thing

he's the best :D

The lesson is in the simplicity and the technical knowledge Ive been in the streets that you speak of in many a country I had my arse worked over by an escrimador/FMA practitioner in his 90's and I am extreamly capable.Dont be fooled by his apparent frail aperance.In street combative situation with H2H or medium/close range edged weapons would astound you,i've seen it if u know anything of the region it historyculture and its stret life u would never be so bold as to dismiss his capabilities

I love it how old martial artists laugh when they so easily beat younger practitioners that their teaching.
-
@Niceland I know. Trolls are hard to deal with.
The fact remains that, no matter what his status or his fight record, to have that skill at this age is an inspiration.
-
@gambleyourhealth p.s everybody is loosing fights .. your right :) i was so mad when i wrote the other guy :)
-
@Niceland thank you for giving me a great vid to watch.
-
@gambleyourhealth thx for posting :)
-
@Niceland "and honestly.. he never lost a stickfight"
I admire his age and skill. My next comment has nothing to do with that.
HOWEVER, anyone who says that they never lost a fight, is lying. Thats a pure and simple fact.
That this man is still able to do such a demonstration is more than admirable, people could only wish to be that skillful at that age.
Supreme is a definition meaning highest in rank or authority, so IF he is the highest rank then I dont agree with @KungFuKid1015
-
@Niceland and honestly.. he never lost a stickfight thats how it is...
-
@KungFuKid1015 sorry but thats his title :) ...
-
wait until around 2:30 when he really gets flowing. never lost for a second, makes it look easy as breathing. much respect!
-
@Niceland I would call him an old grandmaster. Maybe a wise grandmaster. But not supreme. It's too arrogant of a word. Just like ultimate grandmaster would be over kill of a statement. Just call him by his appropriate title, if it's true, grandmaster. No one is supreme, no one is unbeatable.
-
I think "Supreme Grandmaster" is over doing it! I would not call any martial arts master "Supreme Grandmaster" No one is supreme.
-
@tnelsondowns this must be Bruce Lee's favorite Master.well let me tell you ,anyone this man would have your ass,don't ever doubt it. my brother and I were at a 7-11 (my bro was outta basic iwo jima jar-head/marine corps boot campa bad ass) and this old man came in we were getting coffee we were 18-19 this old man said we were disrespecting him and ran us both out with a kane!! there is a reason u dont mess with old people,replay he was being gentle i met bruce lee in LAX in 69'luv
-
@ultimatehammer Your an idiot!! Have some respect.. Old fella is not showing off but demonstrating technique.. Your opinion is absolutely nieve
-
@samurixxxx well said mate.. It's a demonstration.. And he was excellent !!
-
@tnelsondowns thx much for that posting SO True im 40 now and i would be mor than happy if i would hava 30 % of his shape.. but h ey.. i guess we will not hit the 90´s *loool* :) have a great weekend ;)

I saw GM Cacoy demo in California in the 90s, and he was impressive.
It's easy to make fun of someone old when you're young, because in your shortstightedness you fail to grasp that some day you will be his age, assuming you live that long. How will YOU stack up to him when you're 80?
Credit must be given to GM Cacoy for his devotion and contribution to the FMA. That is is active and sharp at his age is an inspiration.

@arabshady Kali ;)
-
Kali or Silat?

DAMN.HES FAST.

@ultimatehammer .... child...
@Niceland well I do, I was involved since I was 3 and I'm almost 30. this is much like the Tae Kwan Do performances. The student IS being pushed around, and the attack is made very lightly before the defense. This "old man" wouldn't be doing much of anything on the street, nor would he be "given' the opportunity to do what he did on this video. Much respect to him, but the video's just not what you're leading people to believe it is. And the person's right, this is an EXERCISE not a fight
