2007 Dodge Ram 2500 quad cab 5.9 Cummins Turbo Diesel, six speed manual transmission. This is the truck that I traded my 2004 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 in my other video for on 7/03/09. When I bought this truck it had 22,149 miles on it and it was traded in the night before I bought it, with sand, and gravel all over the interior, four nearly bald Michelin tires, a bed that was nearly down to the bear metal, with yellow paint spilled all over it, and a huge dent over the passenger side rear wheel well, and a big dent on the top of the tail gate. I almost did not buy this truck until I test drove it. The test drive was awesome, and when I saw the CarFax report showing the previous owner had no accidents, and kept his maintenence up to date with oil, and other fluid changes, I decided this truck, for as nasty as it looked, was to good to pass up. Once the Dealership washed, and detailed it, it wasn't to bad. I have put four brand new 245/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs on it, tinted the windows, had a Rhino bedliner sprayed in, installed a Cummins Power shift ball, and a K&N Cold Air Intake(57-1532) on it, NOTE: When I installed the K&N intake, I removed the silencer ring from the turbo, test drove it, and thought it was okay, but the next morning on my way to work which is 23 miles, the noise from the turbo was unbearable, so when I got back home that day, I put the silencer ring back in and its not as loud as it was, so I recommend you leave your silencer ring in if you install an intake. If you leave your stock air box and intake on than maybe the turbo might not sound so loud if you remove the silencer ring, but if you put an intake on, the whistle, and the air sucking noise is way to loud!(just my opinion). In the next two weeks I will be installing an MBRP 4" filter back exhaust with a 5" tip. This truck now has 35,022 miles on it, and has never given me one problem. It is the best truck I have ever owned!
you really lost 8 mpg when you changed you tires
thats not normal. were they the same size
you can fit a 315/75r17 (34x11.5x17) its the size that h2's use with no lift a taller tire helps a lot with high way miles

@moparman2500 Yep, those Michellins were pretty bald. A friend of mine put Duratracs on his Ranger and noticed about a 5 mile per gallon drop to.

Thanks! The Wrangler Duratracs look good and are great in the snow, BUT, when I had on the nearly bald Michelins I was getting 27.6 MPG on the highway, when I gor these Goodyears, my mileage dropped to 19.8 MPG on the highway. other than the loss in miles per gallon, I am very happy with them. They're not very loud ay any speed, and they kick up tons of splash back on vehicles behind me when it rains:-)
