ANTONIO VIVALDI (1678-1741)

"Le Quattro Stagioni":

Concerto for solo violin, strings and basso continuo in G minor "L'estate" Op. 8 No. 2 "Il cimento dell'armonia e dell'inventione"

2. Adagio e piano - Presto e forte

3. "Tempo impetuoso d'estate" Presto

Sonnet: (Italiano)

Sonnet: (English)

The fear of lightning and fierce thunder
Robs his tired limbs of rest
As gnats and flies buzz furiously around.

Alas, his fears were justified
The Heavens thunders and roar and majestically
Cuts the head off the wheat and damages the grain.

Performed by Concerto Italiano
Featuring Mauro Lopes Ferreira, violin
Conducted by Rinaldo Alessandrini

  • @Amarynthine g minor and baroque tuning: a= 415

  • @giorgiopacchioni AMEN Giorgio!

  • @Amarynthine no they didn't, the tuning or the instruments heard in this video is not 440 Hz, baroque times, they have different Hz tuning so that's why it sounds F# to you, but its actually still G minor

  • @jetlimaster2 yea that;s the original, but they rearranged it for this one.

  • @Amarynthine G minor man,
