I love the raw sound of Gary Numans songs from his first album. Those songs are a bit heavier, more guitars than the albums that followed straight after and perfect for live playing.

This was downloaded from a website called Replicant's Room which is now long defunct. The site, from what I can remember, was a forerunner to YouTube for Numan fans. This was pre-broadband days, it took forever to download videos that didn't stream!

The original vocals of this are way way faster. It was more punk and would definitely be harder to sing. I don't really care for this version because it sounds like it's just the lyrics for Friends laid over the top of his song Pure.
