Actually, Patrick Stuart looks a dead ringer for the REAL Sejanus.
Who came to a brutal end himself. (Sejanus, not the wonderful Patrick - another northern lad !)

I bet that is probably one of the most realistic execution scenes ever in terms of the mechanics of such a situation. Many people talk a good fight but for the average person facing a violent situation is something that is completely alien and shocking to them.

yes the acting and charisma of the guy is undisputable for sure.

I've been getting through this series via Netflix this past month and I don't remember this either. I don't even remember them ever saying "Postumous is dead", there were just referring to him in the past tense and that was that.

Terrible? The wig? It is perfect. Stewart looks just like the pictures of the real Sejanus (that is, a statue of him). Stewart is a terrific actor, who did this role perfectly.
