  • We had a strong middle class.

  • The talibaggers have the notion that the disenfranchised & poor in this country are responsible for its demise. Having spoken to talibaggers at their lynchings I mean protests, I gather they blame cleaners, gardeners, waitresses, or IT trainees for not being able to understand the contents of 300 page mortgage contracts. The baggers are the same people think a major government bill should be in bullet points on a 1-sheet...They never point the finger at their puppet masters - the super wealthy.

  • Never a truer word spoken. Unions are there to represent ordinary working people to government and private industry. That is why both Hitler and Stalin banned unions in their nations. Unions are like any other organisations and have bad apples (like wall street!) However unions do good for the most part. They raise wages and defend members rights in the workplace. You will find many people who support the GOP like Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh are union members in their workplace.

  • It is still amazing to me that our elected politicians can not understand the difference between private sector unions and public sector unions. A private employer has the right to say "no' to the unionized workforce. A citizen has had his right to not accept the public union workforce taken from him. This violation of rights is what these Democrats continue to defend.

  • Senator Brown never should have apologized for any of his speech. Apologies are not needed, when you speak the truth.

  • Senator Brown - You are my Senator! You keep this up and you will trigger a landslide...No working man, whether union member or not, should not rally around you. I am ready to serve.

  • @Jarock316 During the entire year of 2009 there were "Tea Party" protests all over the country. Within a few minutes I found photos of a rally in Denver where there were signs saying "No public money for private failure" and "No to bailouts". Wikipedia has a page with a list of 2009 protests. There is alot of "dispute" about lack of sources and links but the list is there to google the places and dates. Wait a minute-are you relying on the mainstream media for your info?

  • @Cellvar

Yes, you're mostly right. He did indeed favor workers's rights. But he didn't like the political power of unions. They weren't necessary, though, because he was seen as a great reformer. Here's a nice video for you:

    "Adolf and Controversy"

    Cheers!

  • @rickbar123 This is because people are living way outside their means. Not anything to do with this topic of conversation, come on. really.

  • @CRAIGSCORNER1

Oh sorry, I thought you were talking about Boehner.
