There are many problems with Christian theology. Christianity needs a few changes to even be coherent. This new religion is called "Christianity 2."

Problem #1: God is all-knowing, meaning that when He created the universe, He knew that Adam and Eve would "fall," that He would have to flood the world, and that he would have to sacrifice Jesus. He also knew ahead of time every single person's actions before they even lived, who He would send to heaven, and who He would send to Hell. Since He is all-powerful as well as all-knowing, He could have created the universe to be any way He wanted, with any of an infinite set of possible outcomes. Out of all of these possible ways to make the universe, He chose to create THIS universe, so that everything that has happened and will happen would play out exactly as he planned. He created with intent, and thus is responsible for everything that will ever happen in the universe. Since God is perfect, this universe is exactly how God intended it to be when he created it, since he makes no mistakes. Yet, He still punishes some and rewards others. This makes for a very sadistic, seemingly capricious God character.

Christianity 2 says that God is indeed quite sadistic, but that He is not all-knowing, and thus can change his mind. He is a sort of mad scientist, experimenting and creating life for his own amusement.

Problem #2: Jesus is God. This creates a huge logical problem, in which God had to sacrifice himself in order to convince himself to save humans from a punishment that He himself created for crimes that He himself defined and invented. God, being all-knowing, also knew ahead of time that most people would never hear about this sacrifice, and many others would reject it.
Jesus only died once in one place, while ignoring the rest of the Old World (and all of the New World).
God is supposed to be all-powerful, yet He couldn't come up with a more efficient way to get His message out, nor could He simply change His own mind without such terrible violence and rituals.

Christianity 2 says that Jesus was not God, but merely a heroic mortal, fighting the good fight against an evil tyrant, God. In this way, Jesus was more like a revolutionary or a superhero. Like a superhero, he had good intentions, but couldn't be everywhere at once. He wished to save everyone from God's heinous punishment, but he could only sacrifice himself once, in one place, for one small group of people to see. He had no idea how big the world was.
God, being a bloodthirsty villain, reveled in Jesus's bloodshed and changed his mind about punishing everyone else.

Problem #3: Jesus went to Heaven instead of Hell. (Luke 23:43-
Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."
This contradicts the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds, which state that Jesus went to Hell until he was resurrected.)
This is a problem because there really is no sacrifice in this story. Jesus died after about six hours of pain (pain which, being God, He may have just ignored). Then, he went to Paradise. Two days later, he came back to his body on Earth, broke out of his grave, appeared to a few people, then floated up to Heaven again.
He is supposed to have taken our punishment for us, but all he did was die, like all people do, then went to Heaven for eternity. Yet unsaved sinners are supposed to suffer eternally after they die. Jesus never did that. Nowhere does he suffer the sinners' fate, except for his mortal death, which all people will suffer anyway, regardless of their religion. He never actually took anyone's punishment.
He spends eternity in Heaven after only six hours of pain. He spent an infinitely small fraction of his existence in discomfort, yet this "sacrifice" is supposed to be a monumental, selfless act?

Christianity 2 says that Jesus, instead of going to heaven, went to hell. He remains there to this day, where he suffers infinitely and eternally. Now that's a sacrifice! In addition to a mortal death, which all people experience, he suffers infinitely to appease God. I would salute that Jesus any day.

Christianity 2's version of John 3:16 reads:
"For Jesus so loved the world that he gave himself for eternal suffering, so that God would be satisfied and spare everyone else from His extraordinary bloodlust."

  • JOHN 3:16 does not say that you change the words to fit your agenda. Read the real john 3:16.

  • @danilopie Let's see here... I am rejecting your religion and reworking it. Do you think I actually care about following you religion's holy book to the letter?

  • Wow... Your ass is twisted.. and twist everything.. his whole life was pain... people didnt like him and all he was trying to do was help them...

  • @midnightpredator18 also, sorry bout the message in your inbox that was an accident haha

  • @midnightpredator18 long as I allow Him to be first, everything I need and even the things that I want have been provided to me. It is the same for every one of us. He doesn't want us to suffer or be in any kind of pain, but for some reason, we'd rather fight His will. Once you finally allow Him into your life though... man nothing beats it.

  • relationship with Christ. I don't have to follow the laws, I choose to do what's right and good according to the plan God has for me through the Spirit. Religion is binding, and that's all I knew for a long time, so I fell away from it. Once I got saved and learned how to have a relationship with Christ, and then again started to listen to the Holy Spirit did I realize how freely God is actually allowing me to live. I am free from pain, judgement, poverty, hunger ect. He provides it for me as

  • Jesus every day and the more we are like He was in life, the happier and easier it is for us to overcome the things that the world thinks are so horrible. Man I can't even tell you how amazing it really is, you have to experience the goodness on Your own. Another good thing to keep in mind is that real Christianity is not religion. I used to be religious. All religion does is bind you up thats why there are so many sad or angry Christians cos they just follow religion. Real Christianity is

  • any burden this world has to give us because Jesus suffered so we wouldn't have to- and in any and every area of our lives, not just spiritually, but physically, emotionally, in our relationships, even financially. All God asks is that we accept Jesus and to start relying on Him because His way is better than our ways- I know that from following Him. I've never been so happy and willing to speak to people and help them out till I got saved. Even better, He then helps us become more like Jesus

  • From there the Spirit leads you to learn about God so that we can become more like Him. the bible says once we accept God into our lives we are no longer slaves to the world, but conquerors and adopted into the family that is of God. In other words, Jesus calls us His brothers and sisters and we sit at the right hand of God with Jesus. Not when we die, but when we accept Jesus- we are then spotless before Him. He frees us from the iniquities of the world so we don't have to be miserable or carry

  • @deltaxcd If you get saved you will have true faith then you want to obey God. The outlook on what you seem to have on obeying God is not the same as how I obey God, though it's the sAme outlook I used to have on obeying God before I got saved. You're talking about following the laws that are in the old testement to a tee in order to obey God. Jesus did that for us that's why He was the perfect sacrifice and the only way to get to God and heaven.

  • @midnightpredator18

So, If I have faith, but I absolutely refuse to obey god, I am still qualified for heaven?

  • @midnightpredator18

Maybe you think differently from other, but many Christians believe in what I said.

If it is either eternal life or death it would be fine, then we do not have any problems with morality of god, and he is completely fair.

However Christianity relies on fear o hell and bible has very little meaning because in Christianity you believe in your leaders bible interpretation not in bible itself.
