Great guitarist. Saw him in a club called Les Cousins in Greek St Soho. He came on at about 3 in the morning, when we were all knackered, resplendent in a 3 piece white suit, white shirt and red tie - immaculate in every sense.

Damn... Davy was one of the most original interpreters out there. I only realized recently that all the people who play the song with this melody got it from him. (Or from Nick Drake, who got it from Davy.) RIP
