11/28/2011 -- House fire -- multi-spectrum view -- South Side -- St. Louis, Missouri

Fire safety... everyone... you know the drill !!

Make sure you check your house for potential fire hazards !! Check appliances, and wiring often !

Make sure wall sockets are NOT overloaded, and that you turn off space heaters as well as other electrical devices when not being used first hand.... this INCLUDES computers (coming from a technical background -- I can promise you that several fires are caused by overloaded interior electrical system short outs, sparks from arcing)... also radiators do not have drapes / curtains nearby .. and fireplaces... make sure to check your flu/chimney for blockage and proper smoke heat ventilation.

If you're a home owner or renter.. make sure you have appropriate fire insurance to cover any losses, and to have a place to go in case you lose your house in ANY catastrophe !




Much respect to the Saint Louis Fire department -- SLFD -- H&L-4 -- or H&L #4 -- and other associated departments which responded quickly, and effectively.

Without giving away my exact location -- This occurred in South Saint Louis Missouri -- this is video of a house Fire close to my house, which occurred tonight, November 28, 2011 6pm CST .

No MSM reports on this (yet)... first I show a regular video shot.. then a switch over to IR - UV multispectrum video .

NO ONE WAS INJURED -- thank god!! A family with small children resides in this house. They left about an hour before the fire.. the downside is that they own this house outright.. and are now temporarily homeless.

Winds: NNW 20-25mph
conditions : drizzle, rain, sleet, snow flurries

It couldn't have happened on a colder, windy, or more dreary day than today.
