Yeh i do remember this being released as a single and DGIF selling 1 song cd for like $12!! I was in DGIF for like 5 or 6 years!

Good point, but Deborah has mentioned that she wrote this song from the perspective of an obsessive fan (similar to the theme of Sarah McLachlan's "Possession") so your observation and analysis seems right on.

Well, to me, this song is just a little bit TOO codependent -- love addiction-ish. Most pop songs have a hint of this -- I think that our society has a warped idea of love -- but this one takes it a bit too far! I do love Deb, but come on, you can't force someone to love you who doesn't, much less say that they "belong" to you. Ick. Catchy melody though!
