This match was played in Brisbane, the first time a league match had be scheduled there since the National Day Round of matches on R8 1952 when Geelong played Essendon. Essendon continued on their winning streak with an 18 point win - 22.19.151 to 20.13.133

  • @qqq2211 They traded him because he had trouble obtaining a senior game with competition from his brother, Paul Salmon and Roger Merrett. When one looks at those four players, all of whom played over 300 V/AFL games, one sees why Essendon were so successful in the early to middle 1980s and why Carlton (in dry weather) were so formidable between 1986 and 1988.

  • I still find it really strange why they traded justin Madden?
