Now THAT is Canadiana! In the backseat of our Valiant, on the way home down from Regina to Estevan after a day of shopping in 1965, and Dad cranking up the radio, so we could all sing along with Hal Willis and his cheerful lumberjack!

Loved the song especially the album for over 4 decades now!
Knopper the Topper is a fav as well the entire album, really!
I just love the way the photos accompany the music-and such gems they are esp the young violinist beauty...so breathtaking, as I love this...would appreciate meeting Mr.Lumberjackman! Hal Willis!

I've been tryin' to find this song for decades!! Only line i remembered was "sittin' on a tree stump eatin' johnny cake" so after decades of remembering this gem cracklin' out of the ol' RCA hi-fi my dad had,,,,,,,I've finally found it. The net is good for something after all! sounds as great as my 5 year old self remebers it to be! fantastic tune and props to y'all lumberjack men!
