Cliffside Climate Action! Protesting Duke Energy, 4/20/09 Charlotte (NO SOUND, SORRY!)

My camera has no audio (sorry about that). I just wanted to give an idea of what the rally looked like. Without the sound, the true spirit & energy of the rally cannot be represented so I encourage you to find others who have posted up videos of it to hear how lively it was! Also I apologize for how shaky it is. I was carrying a very large posterboard sign, and we were having gusts of wind, and I was trying to hold the camera in one hand while still holding the sign with both hands. (You get the picture, lol).

This was my first protest (the first of many, I am sure!) and Im so glad I attended. I stand against how the coal mining causes destruction of mountaintops, and how the coal plants pollute our air and water with toxic chemicals.

Duke Energy CAN do better, and it's time they clean up their dirty act!

(The time for transitioning is NOW, not 2050! )
