My Pair of Hipocampus Subelongatus Seahorses (West Australian Tigersnout Seahorses) Mating. This was a beautiful moment, such graceful swimmeres, these two seemed to have a genuine affection for eachother.

  • Not surprised by how graceful they are. Seahorses are considered the most romantic of creatures in the animal kingdom. They court each other, their mating is like a waltz and on full moons they sing to each other.

  • @BloodDropRose19 Actually their not ;) There are some other species (although, yes, these are in the same family as the seahorse (syngnathidae, or pipefish i think it's called :D )) where the male gives birth, such as broad-nosed pipefish and some other I couldn't find the english name for. It really is quit interesting, though!
