Practice along in this segment as Dan Sindel explains "Positional Playing" and "Changing Positions" using the 1-2-3-4 Pattern.
and demonstrates the pattern all the way up the guitar neck to the 12th Fret/Position.

  • This exercise is fundamental and extremely useful.. but also extremely boring unfortunately : S Probably the most boring one.

  • Lets not forget this video is billed as "Strength Exercise for Beginning Guitar" - it has nothing to do with being "entertaining".

    The cool thing is once you get this down and it becomes natural then you can make up tons of your own patterns and have as much fun as you want.

  • lol yes the faster the better..!

    But always a good idea to build up great technique going slow before shifting into high gear.
