Once again Im putting my less than amazing driving skills up for display using the Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel and Clubsport pedals in my sim rig playing Forza Motorsport 3. Im still in no danger of breaking any records on this run. Circuit de la Sarthe is definitely a speed track with a couple of corners thrown in to make things interesting.

I discovered the Panoz Esperante GTLM car reacts very differently than the Corvette Z06 from my last video. The GTLM car is less sensitive to downshift rev-matching, probably due to the full race transmission. As such I found the best way to get performance out of this car is with flat-foot upshifting, and hard downshifts. Setting up for the 2 chicanes on the Mulsanne straight Im using traditional right-foot brake and left foot clutching and I run through the 6 gears pretty fast. I would probably have had an easier time using the sequential shifter with the Fanatec, but I didnt want to be bothered with it. I dont perform a lot of left-foot braking on this track, Im not familiar enough with it yet and there are only a few places I found to work it in.

The only assists used are ABS and the brake point suggested line. This car could definitely do with Traction Control also. Youll see it gets quite out of sorts coming out of corners if I mash on the skinny pedal.

Sorry about the loss of HD video on the main view; Im using a different capture system. I dont have the patience to render a 16 minute race 30 seconds at a time in game, wait 20 minutes for each clip to upload, and then have to spend 2 days stitching all the files together. I also had to do some selective editing on the foot box video; as it appears my capture system stutters occasionally; which throws synch off between video from 2 different sources.

Also sorry about needing 2 clips: 10 minute limits are the suck.

As always, I strongly recommend the Fanatec setup!

Thanks for watching!
