Welcome to the Buchan Bull Bullion Channel!!

Your Economic & Financial Friend!!

We specialize in Bullion Sales, Production and Custom Casting.

Buchan Bull 99.9% Fine Silver, Traditionally Hand-Poured, Serialized and Sealed Bars should be available end-January 2011.

This is the third bar making video that we are posting and is just a video of our test-pour with an engraved graphite mould. The results were mixed, but I believe that we will be using only cast iron and/or high-temperate steel moulds in all future production.

We are selling about 20 of the bars cast in this video, these are like proto-type bars, but are serialized, weight stamped and sealed, just a way that we can offer some cheap pure bullion to our clients.

We expect to do another test pour on 07Feb11, when our steel moulds will be ready, and this pour will consist mainly of 5 ounce bars.

Please feel free to contact me at anytime with any inquiries

And as always, All the Best,

THE BULL

Worth noting is that our process uses 99.9% silver as our only input, thus the need for refining is greatly if not completely reduced. At Buchan Bull Bullion we basically melt and recast old silver, recycling, in a fairly environmentally responsible fashion as the need for the toxic chemicals during the leeching and refining process are extremely minimized if not 100% excluded.

We start with 99.9% blanks sourced from various mints in the USA and Canada, some still in business, others out of production now-a-days. We melt our blanks at 1700 degrees and will subject the silver to temperatures up to and in excess of 2300 degrees to burn off any impurities and slag. It is worth noting that none of our test batches required the use of any deoxidizer, which we had available, which is a testament to the purity of the input materials.

Stay tuned for more updates and videos of the production process.

PLEASE NOTE: No materials used in production are stored on-site. All materials used in production, including molds, are kept at various secure off-site locations and accessed only for production or inventory control purposes, both for safety and chain of integrity purposes.

WHY BUCHAN BULL BULLION?

1. Do you know where your Silver comes from?

Every bar produced by Buchan Bull Bullion will be serialized and a log will be kept updated on www.buchanbullbullion.com which will allow bar owners to identify exactly what batch their bars have come from, and all batch information will include complete data identifying exact per gram weights of silver for each mint(if more than one mint's silver is required for a single batch) used in the production process.

2. Is your Silver produced using recycled inputs, creating a much more environmentally friendly production process?

At Buchan Bull Bullion we do not refine bullion and therefore require very little, ideally none, of the harsh, toxic and environmentally damaging products used in the refining and leeching process to purify unpure bullion to 99.9%. At Buchan Bull Bullion we start with 99.9% raw silver blanks, sourced from various US and Canadian mints.

3. Is you silver produced locally, supporting local business?

At Buchan Bull Bullion, we are a family operation with help from other small family businesses, in an attempt to keep everything at a local level. If you read a bit in the ABOUT THE BULL section, you will find that money is not the main objective at Buchan Bull Bullion. Here we want to educate our clients, and have our clients educate us; we want to go up against the big guys and come out on top. Buchan Bull Bullion is produced for the average Joe, because that is who the Bull is, just the average BULL.

Please feel free to comment or ask any questions.

The BULL's personal blog can be found at www.buchanbullbullion.com , as well as updates regarding production, and information on custom casting.

We guarantee the authenticity of all our products, especially those produced in-house. We will cut any bar into pieces or drill holes in any place to prove the authenticity of our pieces, and are very happy to discuss any concerns that clients may have.

  • I bought bar G13 from batch #2. Any idea when you'll run 5oz bars again?

    Bill

  • @dboy6400 Hi Bill,

Firstly thanks for your support of our bars. I am very pleased to say that each of our first 5 batches sold-out within days.

We are planning pour #6, another 5 ounce pour, for next Saturday April 9th.

    All the Best,

    Jim

  • i wonder if you heated your mold if it would help with the vaccum bubbles because it would cool slower

  • @andrew0901280 Hi, actually we did heat the graphite mould very high, literally red hot in another test-- the main issue is that the graphite doe snot retain the heat well at all. Within 30 seconds it had cooled back into the grey colour and cause the silver to slush-up once hitting the bottom of the mould.

If you check-out the next video where we use steel mould, you will see how important the retention of heat is for the mould and the difference it makes. I prefer the steel 100x over graphite.

  • CAN U DELIVER THEM TO INDIA AND WATS THE COST PER OUNCE

  • @gasdorf Hi, it is heated with propane so not too bad, but it is a cost that needs to be factored into production.

I do not run across many fake coins at all, but I use mostly the same few supplier for everything and have a good and long relationship with them--very important!

I have though come across fake coins on occasion from clients, or ebay, obviously the worst for fakes are Pandas, but the Buffalo Silver rounds are pretty common fakes too.

In my written blog, I address this topic.

    Thanks

  • @BuchanBullBullion you heat bill must be expensive ...this is interesting video ...do you run across alot of fake coins ?

  • @charronfamilyconnect No problem at all, I would always buy-back as long as my cash-flow would allow, I also purchase/trade/sell other label bullions, but we are not technically a bullion bank. I am currently researching associations, but am still a bit unclear where exactly I fall, so a bit more work needs to be done on my end.

This bullion is really created for a secondary market, but I do hope to build some brand recognition, and welcome anyone to drill/slice into one of the bars and test.

  • @BuchanBullBullion Hi Jim, Thanks for the reply &honesty! Okay so if I buy from you guys,my local silver recycler, who could I sell the bullion back to afterwords? Do you buy back bullion like a typical bullion dealer does,or do you simply cast pure bullion rounds into bars or custom casting as well from what I read?Just curious, & do yhou have some certification with the bullion assocations or whatever they call themselves? How do I insure that the bullion I buy from you can be sold elsewhere?

  • @charronfamilyconnect Hi, those are 10 ounce bars roughly, they vary, but as they are a test batch we are selling at spot + $0.49/ounce, plus $9.99 expedited shipping with insurance and tracking anywhere in CAN or US. Ottawa locals we can discuss as shipping not required.

Feel free to shoot me a message anytime, and all the best,

    Jim
