Drugs are not the problem. Ireland is just like America. they set up a system of "moral laws" making drugs illegal thusly the criminal element coupled with poverty and a culture of haves and have nots you create the perfect storm of criminal employment. Blaming drugs is simply a way to scapegoat and further employ "the war on drugs and terrorism"

@sbaker12 You imply that the USA would have the same outcome if they were to do what the Dutch did. Thing is, Dutch and US society are different. Yes, the drug war is stupid. But to say that drug dependency will go down in the US if drugs are legalized solely on the basis that it worked in a completely different society is fallacious. And the USA is starting to learn that locking people up is NOT a money making venture nor is it a socially successful venture.
