I was inside a 747 in Montana while I was working at a repair station at the airport. It landed to refuel, and our crew was allowed to tour it. The plane was used for cargo, so it was completly empty besides some water ballast tanks in the back. Standing inside a totally empty 747 is amazing. It gives you a sense of how huge and cavernous the aircraft truly is.

Thanks for your comment. I know there are bigger aircraft around but I know what you mean about the vast size. As a matter of fact I'm still not convinced 100% about the science of getting something sooooooooo big into the air. I just hope that the laws of physics doesn't just decide to step in and stop them from flying lol :)

Yep...they don't miss you but you soon forget the pain in the wallet.
Goto QANTAS Funders Musium and see the various price lists for different combinations of mjusium, plane tour and wing walk.
We did the lot...expensive but worth it (we think)
