I had also noticed the strong parallel in the rhythmic motif between this song and Pat Metheny Group's "Are You Going With Me?" The first time I heard "Cruising for Bruising" I immediately thought of the Metheny song. I wonder if she was inspired by that? Anyway, both songs are great, and I totally agree, Basia is awesome and soooooo underrated!

I have the CD and love the song, but this video adds a whole other dimension with those sexy backup singers swaying and beautiful Basia giving it her all. Thanks
That's possible, but I think it's more likely the video picture and and audio are not synchronized very well. I have seen that many times in YouTube and other amateur posted videos - OK technology but not 100%, high-definition quality. It's still listenable, as long as you keep that in mind.
