i was shamefully unaware of this art until recently and as i am of Irish descent on my mothers side i look forward to exploring it further. i have studied stick fighting systems from other cultures but am very curious to study one from my own. no doubt it was passed down amongst my ancestors as well. in fact it was seeing a Shillelagh up close that led me here! something about it just "fit". now i need to find somebody to make me one..

@TheShamroqDude Dude, you're in NYC? So am I. I'm traveling to Boston (in a wk plus few days) to one of Glens students to learn. It'll be a 1ce a month b/c that's all the time I can afford. It would be good to have it here though.

That was bloody excellent! I practice Eskrima, but I want to know this!!!

This looks fantastic. I like the realistic power drills and the padded full-contact applications.
Great stuff.

Sifu Glen, your Da would totally be proud for how you absorbed what he taught you and evolved it to what appears to be a very effective fighting art. I didn't think anything out there would be as good as Filipino stick fighting but what you teach seems definitely on par with that. I hope to be your student in the future. Think you'll bring Cead Bua to NYC? :-)
