@m0t0k0kusanagi -Yeah, i heard a vet say that freezing for three days kills parasites in raw foods such as beef, poultry, fish. It is perfectly fine to feed raw. Its what i feed my lil' dog :)

@MrMisanthrope1 // Definitely don't feed fish if you don't feel safe doing so. I freeze all seafood for 7+ days before feeding. I would love to link to a study called "FREEZING TO KILL NEMATODE PARASITES IN FISH PRODUCTS" by Peter Howgate, May 1998, but no links in comments allowed. In short, "Freezing to control the hazard from parasites in fishery products is as follows... a) Freeze ... to below -20°C at the thermal centre; b) Store at or below -20°C for at least 24 hours."

Hello.
I am wanting to start my bull terrier mix on the raw diet. Can you explain the benefits of fish to me?

@piepeace AFAIK, fish is a luxury item.... I haven't given my girl fish for a quite a while b/c it's just too expensive right now. Many raw feeders use fish or an oil supplement to add Omega-3 to the diet since commercially raised animals don't have much, if any, O-3. Makes for a great treat, but it's not required to keep a balanced raw diet.
