Travel writer Trevor Claringbold goes hiking in the Austrian Alps at Kitzbuhel, home to the highest grassy mountains in Europe at over 2300m. He came home with some wonderful views of the mountains as I'm sure you will agree... I used Holst's Saturn as the background music, which some of you may feel was a little dramatic, but it's one of may favourites and I think I perfectly suits a climb up a mountain. Let me know what YOU think!

  • When I was watching this Gary, I thought to myself, it's unusual to see unsteady camera work from you, and it wasn't until the end credits that I realised that you did the editing. Having said that Trevor has captured the beauty of this area very well, the music being cleverly used to convey the various moods to match the visuals. This ranged from the effort of walking up hill to the dramatic views from the top of the mountains...Very enjoyable as always...Bob

  • @robmasterman Great to hear from you as always Bob. Actually I've taken some flak over the music from the other half. It seems that there's a gender divide: woman hate it and men like it. I'll have to make a female-friendly vid! I have another couple of videos from Trevor in the pipeline before I go to Ostende next week.

I have always wanted to go walking in the alps and I was really put out when they wasn't asked to go.

  • What a beautiful place ! I would love to go hiking here. I used to love hiking when I was younger. The music you use is good, too.

  • @zub1964 I'm glad you like the music - I've taken some flak over it!

  • That was stunning, you do not drag your feet when it comes to your productions, exellent stuff as usual...........John

  • @johnwood57 Many thanks again for your kind comments John. It's a lit longer than I would usually make, but there were so many lanscapes and comments from the interviewees that were worth including that I just went for bust. Also Holst's Saturn is one I've always wanted to use, as I feel it has the atmosphere of mountains.

  • @eurodestination I suppose it could be seen as a masculine piece Gary, because it give the feeling of strength, compassion, tranquillity, endeavour...all the things that women find difficult to understand in music...but shhhh!!!! don't say a thing....:o)...Bob
