@p00pl0rd People should look at the legends. Ulysses Grant for example. He did not have the best record, but he was able to inspire people. Tecumseh Sherman pretty much claimed he was better than Grant in every way possible, with one exception. He said that Grant was never concerned about what the enemy was doing. Which gives credence to the claims that Grant was a drunkard. As you know, he was never the first, or second, or even top 5 choices to lead the Union. Lincoln was running out of em.

@Longtrangdukich I agree, France is the standard by which all others should be judged in regards to taking care of their veterans. They don't end up homeless like they do in America.

As far as the gun rights, what rights are they trying to save? The Constitution is all that anyone needs. Even the felons, the mentally ill and retarded have a right to own guns. The Constitution doesn't say none of them cannot own guns, now does it?
