This is DJ Boy, the prequel to B Rap Boys by Kaneko. B Rap was a cool game but DJ Boy wasn't that great. The story didn't make any sense and you fight totally random bosses. Seriously WTF?!?!

  • @jonesjames43 When you load up DJ Boy in MAME, you have to hit F1 when you see the sprites rolling around. Make sure you update your emulator and your roms. This game does work in MAME. I play it quite frequently.

  • @Loader2K1:

    (Continued)

There was a cutscene of the metalhead main bad guy kidnapping DJ Boy's girlfriend, but they were removed in the American Genesis version. From what I see, I believe Kaneko was heavily inspired by 1980s American pop music videos when they made this game. Everything about this game is an exaggeration on 1980s American pop culture and racial and homosexual stereotypes.

  • The Genesis/Mega Drive version of this game was significantly different, with the American version edited even further. In the Japanese Mega Drive version, the main bad guy was that fire-breathing metal guy, and he kidnapped DJ Boy's girlfriend. Also, the levels were changed. For example, the marina in the first level became a run-down, inner-city neighborhood in the North American Genesis release. Another change was that you only had one life and NO continues.

  • I used to love this game, soo many quarters were spent on this joint in manhattan

  • I remember this racist game with the jiggaboo fart'n n shit

  • watch out for that farting mother!

  • what a shitty game

  • @azb0111 i cant get dj boy to work on my emulator either.im still trying to find another rom that is mame32 compatable cause im dying to play this game

  • I remember this game. It was so ridiculous it was funny. I could never get passed the 1st level with one quarter. Ah, the good old days!

  • This Game.. is real hip hop. Outdated yes... original yes... This game could've benefited from a better game company. Konami games had better sound modules and this game could've use it. A Hip hop soundtrack wouldve been the staple.
