Oh, and the word caustic most often means something of a sarcastic, acidic, or "biting" nature. Perhaps you meant either acoutistic (which it is not) or a cappella (which it is). Either way, it's a nice little glimpse at the tail end of what was no doubt a fun show. Great Big Sea is wonderful.

I'm a Newfie as well, and I'd appreciate TheFlarewalker not generalizing what Newfoundlanders find racist. Also, "Newfie" is not racist, as racism occurs to ethnicities and "Newfoundlander" is not an ethnicity. It is a provincial subcategory of a nationality: Canadian. At best you're looking at conditionally derogatory slang, and I've heard the term with affection more often than I've heard something like "Ah, stupid Newfie!"

This is a great newfie song, great big sea is an amazing group, and the singer, adam i think his name is, has an amazing voice.
