AIDSbeat opens Toronto Stock Exchange, October 13, 2011.

Patricia Olasker, Founder of AIDSbeat and Vice-Chair, Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR), along with AIDSbeat Co-Chairs Sue-Anne Fox and Gord Capern and members of Toronto's legal community and sponsors of AIDSbeat joined Kevan Cowan, President, TSX Markets and Group Head Equities, TMX Group, to open the market today to celebrate tomorrow night's AIDSbeat charity bash. AIDSbeat is an annual rock 'n roll battle of the bands for CANFAR by the Toronto legal community. Bands made up of lawyers compete for the coveted Lexpert Cup awarded by AIDSbeat celebrity judges and for the Platinum Legal People's Choice award. Celebrating its 16th year, this year's AIDSbeat promises to bring to nearly $2.5 million the total funds raised by AIDSbeat for AIDS research.
