I've lived with parrots for 38 years, it's wonderful to see the way you interact with Buddy. My birds and I have the same kind of relationship. I hope more folks watch your video and learn.

my conure does a lot of those same tricks. you've done a good job with him, but I was wondering, does he ever get nippy? I've had my green cheek conure for about 3 weeks. I've tought him to step up, turn around, shake hands, and wave. I like to think he is starting to bond with me, since he rarely ever bites to hurt me, but regardless, he sometimes can be a little nippy. I was just wondering how long you'ce had yours, so i know where I should be at this pont.

@quinnbeeloved Hi, I was going to put together a training video a while back but it took a lot of time just to film and put together the first part of the video so I decided not to. However, the idea hasn't left me and I really do want to make one when I get the time to do so. In the meantime, if you have any parrot-related questions, message me on my new channel and I'll be glad to help.

cool one ..wondering how to train my parrot ..i gifted my daughter an indian ring neck parrot...but she wanted the one which can talk...wondering how to train her

Indian ringnecks are excellent talkers if acquired while young. However, birds over 2 years old that have not learned to talk will most likely not ever learn a word. You can begin training by offering the bird a treat (spray millet for ringnecks) and bonding with the bird first. Trick training requires a lot more than what I am able to write here, but you are welcome to email me with any questions. As a general rule, NEVER hit a bird; they are prey animals and will not understand punishment
