Claude Benigne Balbastre: La Lugeac

A harpsichord piece by a claveciniste des grâces, as the late French harpsichordists have been named.
The harpsichord has been used quite late in France. In other countries, the forte piano was already in use. Balbastre is one of the last composers for the harpsichord.

In Frankrijk is het klavecimbel nog bijna tot in de 19e eeuw gebruikt, hoewel ze tijdens de Franse revolutie ook massaal op de brandstapel terecht kwamen.

I think you would say "Claveciniste des grâces" (charms harpsichordist). In french "claveciniste de grâce" doesn't mean anything.
