  • It's not true that the same jobs will be available. Referring the this world class Performance Arts District as a "student" art center is inappropriate. This district would create an economic windfall during a recession.

  • "a neighborhood that *WE* have purposefully designed"

    That would be the Royal "we"?

    $300 million sounds great, but regardless of where the university places it's "student" art center, the same construction companies and workers will receive the money, the same students will use the building, and the University will still want to move the "railroad that runs through the campus".

  • $300 Million dollars and 600 jobs sound GREAT to this tax paying townie! (In 2008, $100M of University construction spending led to an additional $295M in additional economic activity for the town.)
