The first tennis game for ZX Spectrum and a real classic. It was published by Psion on 1984. It was a conversion from a game developed by D&L Research to EXL-100.

  • It certainly wasn't programmed by Simon Brattel, he didn't even like it...

  • Yes, you have reason. I'm going to correct the info.

  • The Amstrad CPC version blows this away. Completely black players? Wtf lol

  • The Amstrad CPC version that I remember has the graphics all in green, in the green monocrome monitor that had the 90% of Amstrad users.

  • @genesisduke72

I myself bought the package without the monitor but with the MP-1 TV modulator box. Most of the people I knew had the green screen though due to it being much cheaper.

  • I had the green monitor version.

  • Lol shit up you silly twat. Your ass was still owned by Russia when these games came out. No way your poor ass played these.

  • Amstrad version seems more like a C-64 stuff (no surprise). With its blocky lines, no live spectators and those stupid ball kids who return each time back instead of making their way through the field when the ball is on the other side. Speccy version owns both Amstrad and C-64. Colourfull sprites don't make a good game.

  • Such an addictive game this I remember. Pure class

  • I used to be the best on this game back in the 80'. Great tennis simulator. I saw a pic from the 80' of Sean Connery playing this game.

  • Nobody bought the green monitor in the UK mate. Dunno where you heard that. Check out my post of the Amstrad version. It rips the speccy apart as usual. :)

  • Well, that'd certainly be easier than me inventing a time-machine, going back and actually writing it...

    Simon.
