Well the credits at the end name the songs I used, the first official song used is CCR's Bad Moon Rising, but the first music heard during the shower scene is from Silent Hill and is called Ordinary Vanity.

Oingo Boingo is fantastic. The band.
The effects were really just a more interesting way to transition time then just a cut or fade. Simple enough.
