Third preview video of Project AM2R - Another Metroid 2 Remake.
In case you don´t remember the areas of the original game, here is a comparison video of some places. Also, for the first time, the Gamma Metroid is shown.

@flamemasterelan, wello, I stand corrected on the part of the deal. Even so, this guy should go to Digipen or something and then go to work for Nintendo. They'll love this idea. After all, Metroid Zero Mission was essentially a rehash of Metroid (and it's also ironic that both the original Metroid AND Zero Mission were released for the GBA), so it's not like it hasn't been done before, am I right, sir?

@whoisthismaskedman Retro Studios didn't "strike" any "deal" with Nintendo. Nintendo bought out their studio, turning them into a first party developer after seeing their potential on several unreleased Gamecube games, and then approached them to do Metroid Prime. They weren't making Prime beforehand, they were hired by Nintendo and then handed the project.

@Towerofhera Nintendo actually tends to be really lenient with this stuff, and so does sega. The only really big name that tends to COD fan projects is Squeenix

I'm not liking that Alpha Metroids have a weakpoint when they used to take hits no matter where they got shot. This remake looks like it'll make things harder than they have to be.
