@wilbert0belinda I know it is popular to slam the US but seriously, it's not like there wasn't any history of China putting underage gymnasts on the competition floor (2000 Olympics ring a bell?). As far as jealousy being a motivation - I seem to recall an interview of a 2008 US Gymnast (Alicia Sacramone?) commenting that many gymnasts don't look their age (in other words, giving China the benefit of the doubt).

that lady must be wearing the large sized bump it.

If the FIG took China's and Yang Yun's medals away from 2000, they would also have to take the Romanian team medals from 1992 and 1996, and all of Daniela Silivas's world medals from 1985. Since these gymnasts have been out for years about it, I doubt anything will happen.

Im trying not to be bias here, but Yang said it was a slip of the tounge and it is believable because her marrige documents show the she would have been old enough in Sydney. Whereas, Dong has documents that show she was underage in Sydney.

yeah i saw that interview aswell, i'm not sure i think they're still checking into that ... but yang yun did say that she made a mistake and she was really actually 16 ... so i'm not actually sure.
-
Okay, but didnt Yang yun admit that she was just 14 at that time?
-
they just said that if yang yun and dong fangxiao were not 16 years of age then, they would take the bronze away from china. it also said that he kexin and jiang yuyuan etc. were eligible for last years olympics.

What is the news? Sydney Olympics is more 9 years ago now! What's new about the two! Can someone translate this?
The funny thing is Yang Yun and Dong Fangxiao don't even look underage. You could say He Kexin looked very young but the other too just don't.

If the US team won the gold medal, they won't investigate on these Chinese gymnasts.
