Ah yeah I was front and center! Some VIP section that was, I had the gold pass too and was annoyed about not having first dibs on front row of the venue. I got this spot right after Foals' set and stayed here the rest of the evening.

I went to Bonnaroo this summer before I went to Monolith, and spent maybe two shows right up front. The sound wasn't too amazing (up front, I mean), I couldn't see the whole band, and it was much easier for security to nab you if you happened to be smoking weed (which I was doing a lot). The director of the festival gave my girlfriend and I VIP passes, and I have to say that the viewpoint was pretty damn nice. Plus, we had as much space as we wanted.
