X-Air is trying to deliver on the promise of a low-cost LSA for affordable, fun flying. Just before he left at the end of Oshkosh Airventure 2010, AVweb's Jeff Van West took the X-Air LS up for a flight.
Instead of spending about 60K in this aircraft i rather buy a 1962 Mooney M-20. it costs about 50K and cruises at 140Knots and burns about 8 or 9 gph.
Nasty looking wing tip. I don't like the wrinckles either. 60K is alittle too much. I saw the xair F on barnstormers as a little as 8K. Sure, not the same plane, EXACTLY, but, very big difference in price. Of course, the 8K is used.
Oh yeah! I can't wait to pay $60,000 dollars for a lawn mower motor, an aluminum futon couch and some trash bags over my wings.
Get that crap outta here.
