An old Fathers Day Poem I wrote a long time ago which I've updated using Keynote and Garageband in Imovie. Tree Poem For Father

Out of the rich
black soil grew a tree

stretching

High and tall and reaching toward the sun

fighting

the burrs, rocks and the evil weeds

choking

intensity born of adversity

budding

a strength and shelter for its fruit

protecting

raising them up, and with the rod

not sparing

Now blest by saplings all around

growing

Still in the shadow of the tree

Now aging

Its vision clouded and branches gnarled but

praying

reaching its boughs to God.

  • Good poem, I never could write words but I always had a thing with music. God bless-

  • One Father

    Matthew 23:9

"And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven."

  • Lovely.
