Basically, Yamaha MM6 is just a toy piano rather than a professional instrument... Anyway,,,

  • hey i wanna get a synth moraless a cheap one as it is my 1st and i hav no intentions of pursuing music as my carreer i only do music as my hobby...

which one do you think would be a good choice among the various synthesisers in the market?? my budjet is a bit low.... moraless aroung $1000.....

  • @9322002898

It depends on your needs - music style, preferences. Unfortunately, good sounding synth is not a cheap idea... Anyway, I'd recommend look at ROLAND entry level synths - like JUNO-D LE or something. I used JUNO-D for a long time, now I;m YAMAHA MM6 owner - JUNO-D has better keyboard, it better sounding device, it's solid. MM6 has better screen, some extra features, can play MIDI files, etc. but, you get hardware synth for sound and usability...

  • @encode84 - OK so now I'm confused?? You say you'd recommend the Roland Juno, but you OWN an MM6 - that appears a bit weird to me? Why would you own the Yamaha if you've had a Roland and are recommending the Roland?

  • @dogloverstoolbox

    Now I sold MM6 out...

What I'm saying is that I had both synths - ROLAND JUNO-D and YAMAHA MM6. ROLAND was better in many ways, at least to my taste. So, if you ask me, I will say go for ROLAND! Just helping people to figure out...

  • @808darkhands Yes you definately can put headphones, amplifier , or monitor speakers setup with soundboard.

  • Why some people think that the Yamaha MM6 is a just toy? Because it has not a hundrets of "one finger play" functions?

  • I have a Roland Juno G and a Yamaha MM6 and use both professionally. (I'm a bass player/keyboard player) The MM6 is MADE like a toy, it's a plastic keyboard and it's not piano weighted. That said the SOUNDS are really great and the best part is the keyboard weighs less than 10 lbs. I can carry my Roland Juno G in a gig bag in one hand and the Yamaha MM6 in a gig bag in the other and live my keys sound awesome. For the money and the ease of transporting you can't beat the MM6!

  • @encode84 Hey man, I want ask you a question regarding the Yamaha mm6 and Roland xp-50

Which of these products have more high quality level, dynamic & realistic sounds to be sure?

  • @808darkhands Yes, of course, because it doesn't have speakers.

  • can someone pleas answer ? can you plug it in to headphones ?

  • REALLY GOOD KYBD its not a toy
