Good video!
Glad that I finally found a video that clearly explained the WHY on HFCS consumption and not simply a buch of scare tactics.
-
HFCS is mainly competitive because of sugar tariffs and govt subsidies.

...so if i want to sweeten something what can i use that is safe? is Honey good cuz its all natural. when i buy Honey for my mom i look at the bottle and all it says in the ingredients is "Honey".

@PanDemonIAm777 Yes HFCS causes obesity and you've never had problems with that.. HOWEVER.. this poison is detrimental to your body in other ways as well. You ought to get a liver test just to see. It will catch up to you sooner or later and perhaps obesity won't be the problem, but your body as a whole will have long term damage.

Excellent video!
If sugar is 100% sucrose, which is fructose and glucose, and HFCS is also made up of fructose and glucose, what makes HFCS so much worse, in terms of the molecular make-up?
Just for the record, I totally agree with your views, I am just having trouble understanding the difference between Sucrose and HFCS...

@TheWhoisDave Sugar is equally as bad as HFCS. Whenever we confront fructose in nature, i.e., a piece of fruit, we are protected from over-consumption by the presence of the fiber, which limits how much we can eat. Same with sugar...ever try chewing on a stick of sugar cane?! It's natures' way of protecting us. Problem is when we refine and remove the fiber it creates a set up for a major fructose load.

hey,
if u look at the ingredients of a loaf of whole wheat bread and see high fructose corn syrup and dont see any other refined sugar added, and then u look at the nutrition facts and see that there are 3g of sugar, is that sugar from the HFCS? or just the natural sugar

@iAJ4K87 HFCS! Try to avoid products with HFCS...kind of negates the health benefits of whole grain products...I avoid HFCS like the plague and for that matter, try to have minimal exposure to sucrose which is 50-50 fructose--glucose and really no better. Try to avoid processed garbage and your body will thank you!

I been drinking Soda my whole life. Coke from the 4th to 12th grade. Dr Pepper from 12th grade to age 27. Sunkist from 27 to today, I'm 36. At least a six pack a day for the past 15 years. I only weigh 115 and I'm a guy 5 foot 7 inches. Never had any health problems my whole life. And I never been fat. Actually I have 8 percent body fat right now. I Disagree with your opinion in this Video!

@PanDemonIAm777
Ah, the infallibility of youth! Lucky for you that you're thin and healthy...at least so far to age 36. Unlucky for you that your key building block is processed fructose. Yes, one can be thin and eat a horrible diet as you are an example of, but my honest advice is to be a little smarter...drink water and throw some ice and lemon/lime in it....your body will someday thank you.
