Smithy and Warren from www.friendsoforis.com take the steps through changing a metal bracelet to rubber and cut it down to size. Everyone who owns an Oris watch should watch this.

  • Interesting ORIS must have change the way the strap is connected to the case. My Old model TT1 Titan 1000m straps and bracelet are screwed into the lugs.

  • They haven't changed all TT1 1000m they still have a screw. This example was just for a pin and tube option on a TT1 Date. We will be doing different straps and attachments later.

  • Thank you! I shaved off 2 links" (rubber) and you saved me a trip to the dealer....awesome!

  • Take one from each side. If you end up needing to take an uneven amount out always shorten the inside of the wrist that way the watch leans in more towards you rather than out.

  • Thanks for this. I went ahead and did it and it worked out just fine. Couldn't have come at a better time as I just received my TT1 47mm yesterday! Big watch haha.

  • Question: When I am doing this, if I need to take out 2, should I make 1 cut from each side of the band? Seems pretty obvious, but would like to double check. Thanks.
