This is the engine from my Dyno Vid. Its finally installed in the car. The engine was run in and tuned on the engine dyno.
It was a bit smokey until I drained the fuel and filled up with fresh fuel. I used to over premix the fuel so i suspect that the oil had sunk to the bottom of the tank as the car sat engineless for over 3 months.

All seems fine. No oil or coolant leaks. Temps are fine with the new PWR Radiator and SPAL 16" fan. The PWR oil cooler is also working a treat.

Just have to sort out if my oil pressure gauge is reading low, or if the multi-outlet block i have it mounted on is the cause of the pressure being 50psi on startup and not 100psi like in the dyno clip.

Just have to spend a few mins getting the idle sorted as you can probably hear.

This was the first startup in the car, so i was holding the camera whilst checking the car over for leaks and temps etc.....so please excuse the jerkiness.

  • @SnakeManQQQQ

    Its a 48 IDA Weber. 40mm Chokes/Venturies from memory

  • thats weird , where do you get gas , im in canada , any ways thanks for letting me know , otherwise id be oblivious to it al together

  • @aterack833 I Fill up at a regular Service Station with 98 octane unleaded (typically BP Ultimate). I also carry a 1 litre bottle of two stroke oil in my boot which has a built in measurement marking so i simply pour in the required amount (typically 200:1 Ratio although i tend to add a splash more) . So in goes the oil, then i fill up with fuel which mixes with oil in the tank.

Thats the most common method that people use here in Australia when they remove the oil metering pump.

  • @kangaroosa The oil pressure gauge i was referring to is on the dash, with Water temp, and the Oil Temp.

Incase you were talking about the gauge in the engine bay.....Thats the fuel pressure. The chrome tank nearby is a brake vacuum canister which was installed to help with some low vac/hard pedal brake issues which came about after the BP was installed. It didnt fix my issues and not hooked up anymore.

  • @aterack833 The Fuel is Pre-Mixed with 2 stroke oil in the fuel tank on fillup at a service station to lubricate the seals.

The oil pressure gauge is for the engine oil pressure.

  • sorry for the caps

    sticky keyboard

  • pre mixed? and a oil pressure gague wtf mAN HOWS THAT WORK
