@rainbowalligator1 Hate to be a prick, but Dave is an agnostic. Its not so much that he doesn't believe in God, but that he doesn't dig organized religion. Dave I believe to be spiritual but he is still putting the pieces of his soul back together after the death of his sister.

I have always thought this song to be one of the most beautiful summaries of Christ's message I've ever encountered. It's not about reading minutia between the lines--the message of the song is that Jesus tried to teach us LOVE.
