Voodoo Lounge in Kansas City in the Harrah's Casino. This was Claypool's first casino show, according to him.

The crowd, for the most part, was really awesome. Very respectful, many people went actually made room for me so I could get a more clear shot. Happy about that.

  • you make a good point, his musical talents must stem from his outward appearence.... wait, what? You're retarded. People get older, get tired more easily. He still rocks the leg like a motherfucker but this certainly isn't the song to bring that up.

  • you pple treat claypool like obama, no matter what, no matter what he does, play... he writes a stupid book but its all amazing. i dont get it. i was a big primus fan but now i see the light and realize it is just music. you got to stop blowin this guy and move on

  • I never have liked Primus.... i've warmed up to a few songs over the years, but his other projects are very rewarding. I don't see how you could see his display of talent and not give it praise.

  • wtf is he playing now

  • the ol' Bassjo. Great song from a great album.

  • At the portland show this year he played all of those damn blue collar tweekers, it was amazing

  • Are you talking about the MArch show for the Of Fungi and Foe tour at the Roseland? I was at that one, totally amazing show.

  • When he came to my town I yelled out "TOO MANY PUPPIES" and he goes. "You sir, are a very powerful man" and he began to play too many puppies

  • Brother, I'd have to say, anyone who sees music as "just music" wouldn't understand it.

Typically, the people who love Les Claypool are those who've played instruments or, at the very least, know a fair deal about music. They understand how much talent is required to write and play such music and improvise as well as he does.

  • Btw I love Iowan Gal also

  • how awesome would it have been if ler came out at 2:44

  • Claypool has such a relaxed way of playing when he does stuff like this... It makes me feel like a pathetic musician.

  • @sliterturn1 Well then dont be a musician, cause you odnt deserve to be inspired by the almighty claypool.

  • hes not playin it acousticly that is an electric bass

  • when i first bought sailing... i would never have thought that Les would play american life acoustically eighteen years later

  • Which century is that? I doubt there'll be 100 years within which everyone who sees this video...let alone everyone alive, will live the entirety of their lives...did you mean the 20th? In which case he's certainly one of the most original. Or did you mean the 21st, in which case...it's a little early to make such a declaration.

  • i liked les before he got like this i mean he needs to shave his head and wear the leather hat again and do the leg thing more often like he did in primus

  • wow i like him when he was with primus and not his other projects
