First round of Power Tuning on the Dyno on 16/09/2008. Broken down into stages (determined by boost levels), we got to 1 BAR of pressure before breaking the weakest link in the system - the "flex plate".

Minor set back; downtime estimated to be 2 weeks as we design & fabricate a replacement item.

  • That sux Stan, but it will be worth the wait, hope you can come on the pizza cruise. Can't wait to see that beast unleashed

  • Thanks! Doesn't look like the Pizza cruise will be a reality though, got the call from MV and the plate is still at the laser cutters.

    Will be back soon enough~

  • Pretty crap, i still reckon your 1932 Honda Civic can beat it.

  • If you say so... as a friend said today "the R34 could run on 2 cylinders and still go faster than the Honda"

  • HAHA was that Mitch?

  • Sure was...

  • Just a little update for those following.

A very kind person in QLD has put up his flex plate today (17/09/08). It will reach SA by Friday for fabrication to begin. We are looking at 2 to 3 times the standard width for extra rigidity.

A simple search of the internet has revealed that this is a common problem with higher-than-average HP cars.
